DSP – Where change is the only constant
Last August we made a really big change. We gave DSP a complete makeover – new logo, new website, a new wizzy style – but our core values and promise to our customers remained the same – delivering uptime, all the time!
We asked our Marketing Manager to reflect back on the last year and her thoughts on the achievements. Here’s what she had to say:
I had the most fantastic and super-duper time managing such a wonderful brand.
Finalists for the Microsoft World Wide Data Platform Partner of the Year Award, from 3,000 partners worldwide – woooohooooooo! Well done MJ, Dan, Dev, Taynor, Matt, Steve and the entire Microsoft practice.
We’ve won a number of new clients from multiple industries including travel, public sector and retail – I hear Mark Jones (Microsoft Practice Head) has mastered the moves of our official dsp victory dance - here it is.
The live Q&A session with Steve Ballmer – CEO of Microsoft with our very own MD – Dev – This was the highlight of the year although Dev - you still haven’t performed the dsp victory dance - you were supposed to do it on stage!
We are finalists for the UKOUG (Oracle User Group) Database Partner of the Year Award – voting is still open here – come on guys get voting if you haven’t already done so otherwise Chetan (Practice Head for Oracle Technology) will be most upset.
We’ve ran some amazing Oracle E-Business Suite R12 workshops – Kiran, Zoe, Hector, Doug – what a great bunch of Oracle E-Business Suite Consultants. Check out our upcoming events here. Maintaining the balance. As part of my role as Marketing Manager I have to ensure balance and harmony with everything I do – Dharshi – thanks for the amazing Carrot cake, Sunny – thanks for the follow up dieting advice throughout the year. We’ve offered pretty amazing database managed services - This is all thanks to our very own Walking Wiki – Marcus and the rest of the technician magicians in his team – Tom, Jonathan, Jermaine - you guys are legends! We’ve had some great parties – Christmas party, the summer BBQ and the SoftCat Ball, which raised money for the Dreams Come True charity – oh what a great time and fab memories – Chetan, Mark, Steve, I still have the photos from the ball! Our Finance Director was a finalist for the ‘Finance Director of the Year’ award in the growing business category – Tuhel I’ve always been impressed with your super number crunching and mad Excel skills – I promise to stop calling you Mr McNobudget. Gurchetan – you have an opinion on every single thing in life – love it! I’ve learnt an insane amount of useless information. John B – Why do you know so much stuff? We partnered with Oracle on the Innovation Tour at Westfield Shopping Centre – the shopping was amaaaaaaazing Gill (Recruiter), sorry you missed it. Also thanks Rick (Sales & Marketing Director) for taking us to a fancy bar afterwards (oh and thanks for the wonderful shoe collection I now have – Only kidding Tuhel!) Some really super people have joined the dsp gang - Jin – our chief happiness officer has done an amazing job in recruiting some pretty amazing people over the last year including Nils, Sandeep, Christine and JP (although anyone who sits next to JP in the office deserves a medal) We’ve had the most successful year at dsp and that’s down to Phil, Mark, Dev, Rick, Simon and Tuhel - the leadership gang – you are doing a supertastic job. We’re now supporting a great charity – The Red Rubber Ball Foundation – these guys seriously do a great job and we are all really pleased to be part of it. We’re expecting to grow even more next year - Jonathan, Paolo – let’s go for it! |
The future is bright - the future is the dsp blue....
