DSP-Explorer is proud to have been nominated in the Oracle Partner Awards 2019 under the ‘IaaS and Paas Partner of the Year’ award. The nomination follows hot on the heels of winning 2 Golds at the Oracle User Group Awards just a few months ago.
This nomination is a substantial achievement for DSP-Explorer, an Oracle Platinum Partner and Support Services provider for multi-vendor Database technologies across Public Cloud, On-Premise and Hybrid infrastructures. Since securing Private Equity investment 6 months ago the company has gone from strength to strength, posting year-on-year profit growth of 300%, opening a 3rd office in Nottingham, and investing heavily in its Oracle and Microsoft data engineering capabilities.
With an ever-growing bank of successful Oracle Database Cloud migrations, the nomination was secured thanks to DSP-Explorer’s recent OCI re-architecture for a client, described as ‘a win against third party on-prem hosting and a "do nothing" approach’. The process was a clear example of the company’s competence in dealing with IaaS and PaaS projects regardless of application or complexity.
In delivering this cloud transformation project DSP-Explorer used a comprehensive methodology, taking a formerly "non-Cloud" organisation through POC to live deployment. In doing so they set the client’s path to modernisation, with other applications soon to follow suit.
The innovation and launch of DSP-Explorer’s Oracle Cloud Calculator at Oracle OpenWorld 2019, in of itself a milestone for the business, was sure to be a contributing factor in the nomination process. A huge asset to both current and prospective Oracle users, it has materially reduced the burden on those organisations that have a desire to compare price/performance of Oracle workloads in OCI against other Public Cloud Providers.
