DSP-Explorer trading update for Q1 FY21 shows continued multi-cloud growth

DSP-Explorer, the UK’s premier provider of data management services for Oracle, Microsoft and multi-cloud technologies, has released its first-quarter trading update since the full integration of the Explorer business towards the end of 2020.

Results show that quarterly EBITDA grew by 60% compared to the equivalent quarter in 2020, off revenues that were up 80%, representing continued success from its managed services, cloud adoption and professional services business units. On a rolling 12-month basis run-rate EBITDA is now £3M, a major milestone in the company’s history.

During this period total contract revenues topped £10M as a further 10 cloud and managed service agreements were won across such sectors as finance, media and technology. Revenues from its growing public sector team also increased materially due to an increase in low code software development projects (Oracle APEX) that will support Covid-19 infrastructure upgrades within the NHS. The business also made further investments into its Data Science & Machine Learning service lines, building numerous Oracle Cloud Data Science proofs-of-concept and becoming a Google Cloud Platform Partner, further strengthening its multi-cloud data management proposition.

“We’re delighted with such a strong start to the year and our financial results come in tandem with significant investment being made into our IT Service Management and Client Success platforms. The integration of the Explorer business was completed ahead of the plan, and we are excited about the opportunities for further growth, both organic and through acquisition, during 2021.” explains CEO, Simon Goodenough.
