Our partner, Oracle, is expanding its global cloud footprint with new locations across Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific, and Latin America.

Currently, Oracle has 30 cloud regions worldwide and is expecting to expand to 44 by the end of 2022.

This fast expansion means Oracle now has increased performance and security whilst running the most demanding customer workloads. More customers around the world will now be able to store their data where they need it, within their local cloud region.

What is a cloud region?

A cloud region is a physical environment in which Oracle can store, build and deploy customer workloads efficiently. These regions are super secure with extremely high performance, ensuring your data is not only safe but running to meet your business requirements. The worldwide cloud regions provide excellent options for Database Disaster Recovery with the ability to distribute data across multiple geographic regions, safeguarding your data and mitigating risk.

On the whole, this is exciting news for Oracle and Oracle customers, a testament to the increased cloud deployments and rapid growth of its leading cloud capabilities and platform.
