On 20th March 2025, Oracle CloudWorld Tour London took place at ExCeL London, bringing together industry leaders, Oracle experts, Oracle partners and customers to explore how Oracle's technologies are transforming businesses globally. The event was packed with keynotes, sessions, and networking opportunities, showcasing innovations in AI, cloud computing, and data. Oracle CloudWorld London allowed businesses to gain insights into how Oracle's latest technologies can help them overcome any challenges they are facing and help them achieve their business objectives.
As I stepped into Oracle CloudWorld London for the first time, I felt like I was entering a different world. The latest technological innovations and demos were on full display, and I was grateful to witness firsthand the significance of this event. At first, I had a slight feeling of nervousness, but as I walked through the doors, I quickly realised that this was an incredible opportunity to learn and connect with new and familiar faces in the tech industry.
I had the opportunity to learn from industry leaders firsthand. For example, I attended a Data and AI keynote session, which explored Oracle Database 23ai and how Oracle Autonomous Database uses AI tools like Vector Search and APEX assistant to help businesses quickly analyse data, build smarter applications, and make decisions in real-time without moving data between systems. Colin Mason from NatWest explained how the bank is modernising its data platform using Oracle Autonomous Database on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. This shows the value Oracle is bringing to companies not just in the tech industry. It was truly inspiring to see how technology is transforming industries and empowering businesses to innovate and become more efficient in their respective industries. I was intrigued by the live demos, which showcased innovative AI-powered tools, cloud infrastructure advancements and the official premier league trophy. These experiences not only improved my understanding of the tech world but also left a lasting impression that I will remember for a very long time.
The keynotes were the heart of the event, featuring announcements that showcased Oracle's commitment to innovation:
Oracle has introduced an AI Agent Studio; a new tool that helps customers and partners create and manage AI agents for their businesses. This tool is part of Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications Suite and is free to use. The tool includes easy-to-use templates, ways to work with multiple agents on complex tasks, and options to use different language models. It also integrates well with existing applications and third-party systems while keeping everything secure. The AI Agent studio helps businesses automate tasks, work more efficiently, and adapt AI to their needs. An example of this was when Virgin Media O2 discussed how they simplified their HR processes using Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM. Before, employees had to use different systems for tasks like training and tracking absent workers due to the merger between Virgin Media and O2. By moving to Oracle Cloud HCM, they created a single platform for all HR needs, which improved efficiency and reduced costs.

Lloyds Banking Group is working closely with Oracle to improve customer experience and move their systems to the cloud. They're using a multicloud approach that lets them use Oracle's database in Microsoft Azure data centres. This means they can run Oracle databases both in the cloud and in their own data centres, giving them more flexibility and control. This allows Lloyds to provide faster and more secure services to customers. The partnership allows Lloyds to innovate quickly, launch new products faster, and deliver better services. By combining Oracle's technology with Microsoft Azure, Lloyds can modernise its systems without having to make big changes, making it easier for Lloyds to support their customers with high-quality services.
