DSP is now working with Investors in People
DSP is now working with Investors in People, a government-backed organisation which helps companies develop their staff's full potential. Founded over 20 years ago, the IIP has helped the growth of more than 20,000 organisations by reviewing the way they communicate with employees, their different learning and development initiatives, how we engage staff and much more.
dsp already offers comprehensive technical training packages to its employees, but over the coming months, we'll draw on the IIP's expertise and implement new initiatives to develop each employee's talent and actively further their career progression at the same time. We have recently introduced our 'lunch and learn' sessions where subject-expert do an informal presentation on what they know best, ranging from Agile to Microsoft to Oracle and Managed Services.
Another aspect will be looking at with the IIP is how the management team communicates with the employees and how the big goals are distilled into individual objectives. At the moment, our MD Dev Nayak gives us fortnightly updates where he briefs us on staff news, new clients we have signed and the new staff benefits we are introducing. Twice a year, Dev goes into more details and summarises how each practices is doing and explains the business strategy for the coming quarters. This information is very comprehensive, but if anyone wants to find out more or has ideas they want to share then the Directors are always available to share their knowledge and expertise. One of our challenges for year is to review the way the different departments communicate with each other to ensure that we draw on each other strengths and experiences.
We are really pleased to be working with the IIP and look forward to benefiting from their knowledge and expertise to make DSP and even greater place to work for.
