Simon-Goodenough COVID-19 Statement

These are of course hugely challenging times, with everyone across the globe trying to navigate the uncertainties thrown at us by COVID-19. I’d like to reassure you that during this period we at DSP-Explorer will do our utmost to support your business with the same degree of service and quality that you are used to. We continue to operate business as usual but appreciate that for some of our customers and suppliers normal operation is simply not possible, so we at DSP will be as flexible as possible.

Our Working Practices

We believe our revised working practices, which have been in place for a number of weeks now, are appropriate and effective. The major adaptations we have made include:

  • All employees continue to work from home in order to remove any risk of spread.
  • We have cancelled all physical meetings.
  • We have assessed the personal needs of each member of staff and are ensuring they are fully supported by management.
  • We are extensively using remote telephony & video conferencing, running 2 different systems to increase resilience.
  • We are proactively monitoring World Health Organisations (WHO) advice and following UK government guidance.

We feel these measures are prudent and measured given the current threat levels within the UK, and we do not believe there will be any negative impact on the service we provide.

Business Continuity Planning

We successfully tested our lock down plan on 28th February 2020, simulating an event where all of our London staff worked from home with less than 24 hours’ notice; subsequently we are confident that there will be no impact to our service levels. These plans had been drawn up with the assistance of a Business Continuity Specialist who had previously worked on the Olympic Games (2012) and assisted pandemic planning for Avian and Swine flu, and SARS.

Our systems and working policies ensure all staff can work effectively from home, whilst our technical staff are distributed across the globe (and across London, Basingstoke and Nottingham in the UK). If critical staff contract coronavirus then, if needed, we will reschedule planned holidays to help cope with workload and reschedule non-essential consultancy to redirect staff onto customer production support. We aim to offer our NHS and Emergency Services clients an additional level of priority should the situation prove necessary.

In short, I believe the measures we have taken to prepare for different coronavirus eventualities are prudent and will maintain our customer service levels.

Dynamic

As the situation changes, we will continue to dynamically follow our Pandemic plan to mitigate the impact on our service levels and keep you informed.

If you have any questions about our business continuity plans, or your existing service then please let me know. Most importantly, please stay safe.

I wish all our customers, employees and partners well during these challenging times.

Sincerely,

Simon Goodenough

CEO
